Pictures At A Music Exhibition Episode no. 1: Liszt's "Don Juan" Fantasy
This focuses mainly on commentary on classical music history and non-classical music history subjects, such as rock, disco, and even ballroom, Latin, swing, and club music.
This episode focuses on my live lecture recital on Franz Liszt's "Don Juan Fantasy" for Solo Piano, an operatic piano transcription, in a 2003 presentation at Commonwealth Community Church in Chicago, where I break down the thematic structure and basic building blocks of how this big piano masterpiece came to be.
